Welcome to Photolens, your personal guide to exploring the fascinating world of photography
Introduction to Photolens
Why does Photolens exist?
Photolens was created with a simple belief: photography shouldn’t be complicated. Whether you’re passionate about spectacular landscapes, intimate portraits, or exploring new horizons, you need the right tools and knowledge.
On this site, you’ll discover everything you need to know about cameras, lenses and accessories that will take your photography to the next level. Our mission? To help you find, quickly and easily, the equipment that perfectly matches your vision and style.
No unnecessary jargon, no technical overload just clear and honest answers to help you improve.
Who am I?
My name is Francisco Barroso Cahungo, and I’m a media engineering student at HEIG-VD. I’ve always been fascinated by the art that emanates from a painting or a drawing—that ability to move us with just a few strokes. But it’s only recently that I’ve discovered that photography possesses exactly the same magic. By freezing moments on film, we capture a raw, authentic emotion that can tell a thousand stories.
I’m no expert photographer, far from it! At first, I struggled myself to make sense of the jungle of lenses, brands and technical specifications. I spent hours searching for information scattered all over the web, navigating between conflicting opinions and overly complex guides. It was this frustration that gave rise to Photolens.
My real aim? To save photographers like you hours of time by bringing together essential information in a clear, accessible and authentic way.
